About Tony Evan
Tony Evan is a Filipino fashion and bridal designer whose work is rooted in structure, craftsmanship, and a contemporary interpretation of classical beauty. After beginning his education as a scholar at SoFA Design Institute, he entered fashion and gained recognition as the Grand Prize winner of the 2014 Philippine Fashion & Design Competition for his modern interpretation of the terno. He later pursued further studies in fashion in London’s Central Saint Martins, and in 2015 represented the Philippines as a delegate in the International Fashion Showcase hosted by the British Fashion Council.
In 2020, he expanded beyond fashion and started exploring the world of ecclesiastical arts for catholic churches discerning private collectors. This perfectly shows how historical research, purposeful iconography, and visually interpreting divine concepts is consistent with his artistry. Everything is well-intended and the best is always reserved for God.
Drawing from japanese culture, historical dress, and the grandeur of Renaissance and Baroque art, Tony Evan’s work balances clean, sculptural forms with intricate craftsmanship and well-intentioned embellishment. His approach to bridal is personal and highly collaborative, with each gown designed with the bride’s abstract vision of herself.
Tony Evan Manila is his bridal house, creating made-to-measure gowns that range from subtle architectural to richly embellished and couture. Every piece is individually crafted with an emphasis on silhouette, proportion, construction, and the enduring quality of an heirloom.
